Salle Pauline-Julien is a performance hall in Montreal, named after Pauline Julien, the Quebec singer and activist. It is an intimate space, and the programme leans towards professional theatre, music and other performing arts.
The hall sits within the Collège Gérald-Godin, in the L'Île-Bizard–Sainte-Geneviève borough, so it is best approached as a venue in its own right rather than a stop on a downtown circuit. Its address is on Boulevard Gouin Ouest, in Sainte-Geneviève.
What to expect
The venue presents a wide range of professional productions, and it also runs a cinema series that screens award-winning films. The shows suit visitors who want a focused evening with a live performance or a carefully chosen film, in a room small enough to feel close to the stage.
It is open from Monday to Saturday, so most weeks offer an evening to attend. Practical comforts include air conditioning and changing rooms, which make a visit more comfortable whatever the season.
Planning a visit
Because the hall is part of a college campus in the western part of the island, allow time for the journey, particularly if you are coming from central Montreal. For exact show times, ticket information and the current programme, contact the venue directly by telephone at 514-626-1616.
