Flux, a Score of Lights is a night event in Montpellier, held on the Arceaux Aqueduct in the Les Arceaux district. Over three evenings, the old stone structure becomes the surface for a light show in which music appears to take shape in front of the audience. The visuals are created by Holymage.
What the evening is like
The show turns the aqueduct itself into the stage. Rather than a concert with a screen behind it, the audience watches sound and light build up together on the monument, so the architecture and the music are seen at once. It suits anyone curious about how light can be used on historic buildings, and it is a different kind of outing from a conventional performance.

Around the aqueduct
Les Arceaux is one of Montpellier's well-known walking areas, so a visit to the show can be combined with a stroll through the surrounding streets. Because the event runs only three evenings, planning ahead is sensible, and the city's campaign page is the place to check the latest information before setting out.
