Chacun de nous la porte en soi.

In 9 days exhibition

Chacun de nous la porte en soi is a contemporary art exhibition held at Halle Tropisme in Montpellier, in the Occitania region of southern France. It takes the monster as its starting point, treating the figure as a site of fear, marginality and resistance, and asking where the line between monstrosity and humanity really falls.

What to expect

The exhibition brings together work by emerging and established artists. Because the theme is open to many readings, the pieces approach it from different angles, so the visit feels less like a single argument and more like a conversation between voices. Visitors who like art that asks uncomfortable questions about who gets labelled "other" will find plenty to think about.

Beyond the galleries

The exhibition is accompanied by workshops, mediation sessions and other events. These offer a chance to hear from people involved in the project and to explore its ideas more directly, which can be a good choice for those who prefer to visit with a guided or participatory element.
