Veeby, born in Yaoundé, Cameroon and now based in Montréal, is celebrated as a powerful voice on the afro-soul scene. Her music weaves together soul, R&B and traditional Cameroonian sounds like makossa and bikutsi. She has shared stages with Manu Dibango and Fredy Massamba, and is also the founder of the Festival Afropolitain Nomade.
She performs at the Quai de l'Horloge in the Vieux-Port de Montréal on Saturday August 8 at 18:00, within the four-day AfroMonde festival running August 6–9, 2026, daily from 12:00 to 23:00.
