Held in honour of World Opera Day, celebrated annually since 2012, "Passion Opera" brings two lyric evenings to the Opéra Comédie in Montpellier. The programme features excerpts from Faust, Carmen, La Bohème, Turandot, The Magic Flute and Die Fledermaus.
Soprano Audrey Maignan, a graduate of the Paris Conservatoire, takes the lead role, accompanied by the Orchestre national Montpellier Occitanie under the baton of conductor Victor Jacob, named a rising-conductor revelation at the Victoires de la Musique 2023.
Performances take place on Saturday 24 October at 19:00 and Sunday 25 October at 17:00. Duration is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes with no interval. Tickets are priced at a flat rate of 16 euros.
