Hailing from Berriane in Algeria's Mzab valley, the Association Culturelle et Folklorique IMNAYEN opens with traditional Saharan chants and richly coloured folk costumes.
The programme then shifts to a live modern set featuring keyboard, electric guitar and percussion, weaving together rai, Kabyle, Chaoui and Naili styles into a cross-regional Algerian tapestry.
Dancer Dounia joins the performance to bring popular Algiers dance traditions to the stage.
