This workshop offers an immersive introduction to the percussion traditions of Morocco, focusing on three key instruments: the bendir (frame drum), the derbouka (goblet drum), and the tbel (double-headed drum).
Drawing on a blend of Andalusian heritage and Berber rhythmic traditions, the session is guided by an experienced percussionist who teaches participants to feel and follow the tempo, evoking the spontaneous spirit of a halqa — an impromptu circle performance — right in the heart of the Old Port.
