After eating magic mushrooms, Adam and Charles "pick" a tree in front of Charles's luxurious home, and the police are called. Adam's cousin Inès turns the act into a rallying cry, and the already scorching spring heats up further.
The three teenagers end up leading the Magnolia cell, an organization funded by muffin sales that fells trees in affluent areas to demand more green space where concrete dominates.
Maud de Palma-Duquet's comedy is lively, satirical and irreverent. It tackles the climate emergency and the social divisions it exposes, and it shows the blind spots of a collective movement that sees itself as exemplary, where ideals, privilege and contradictions coexist.
The production runs from April 6 to May 1, 2027 in the Salle Michelle-Rossignol, as part of the theatre's 2026–2027 season. A performance on Saturday, April 17, 2027 is also mentioned.
