Pétrole.

In 86 days theater performance
Sylvain Creuzevault takes on Pasolini's last explosive, unfinished and fragmentary novel, written just before the author's death and published long after. In a magma of virulent notes, a man torn between his senior public role in a formerly fascist hydrocarbon company and his desire for a non-normative sexuality navigates the political, social and artistic tensions of Italy's Years of Lead (1970–1980). The performers make Pasolini's enraged language resound and battle with it — a novel pushed to its limits, transformed into a prophetic and polemical visual poem that overturns the theatre and our preconceptions. Runtime: 3h30 with a 20-minute interval. Pétrole is published by Gallimard.
