Romeo Castellucci brings his signature visually and philosophically intense theatre to Domaine d'O in Montpellier with two performances of 'Faust. Fait, non dit' on Friday 9 October at 20:00 and Saturday 10 October at 17:00.
The work offers a radical reinterpretation of the Faust myth, focusing on what precedes the pact with Mephistopheles: the void, the crisis of language, and the rupture between words and things. Rather than adapting Goethe literally, Castellucci excavates the invisible fractures in the character.
The stage becomes a mental space traversed by visions, constructed through imagery, silence, the body, material textures, and an original score by Scott Gibbons. The result is a sensory meditation on knowledge, the sacred, and representation itself.
