SADA Band: A Journey Through Arabic & Sufi Music.

In 23 days concert

SADA Band: A Journey Through Arabic & Sufi Music is a concert at ALICE in Copenhagen on 29 November 2026. It is an evening of music rather than a talk or a festival, and it suits visitors who want to hear live performance in a Copenhagen venue.

What the evening sounds like

SADA Band is a four-piece ensemble. Its music blends Arabic vocal traditions, Sufi music and Andalusian flamenco. The classical Arabic vocal tradition forms the foundation, and Sufi music adds a more intimate, spiritual dimension to the set.

The musicians

  • Bakri Hemmami, a Syrian singer who grew up in Aleppo, leads the band at the front.
  • Islam Jaran plays viola and Arabic violin.
  • Obai Bitar, a Palestinian flamenco guitarist, combines Arabic maqam with Andalusian sounds. His band won a Global Music Award in 2022.
  • Bader Debs plays darbuka and percussion.

Between them the musicians draw on roots in Syria, Palestine, Jordan and Andalusia, and this range of origins shapes the programme.

Planning your visit

The concert takes place at ALICE, and the full event page, with further details, is available on the venue's website at alicecph.com. Visitors coming from outside the city can use the evening to explore Copenhagen, which the event listing places in Denmark's capital region of northern Europe.
