Johnny Cash Roadshow brings its celebrated Prison Years tour to Amager Bio in Copenhagen, recreating the atmosphere of Johnny Cash's legendary prison concerts — most notably the Folsom Prison shows — for an electrifying live experience that has been captivating audiences worldwide for nearly two decades.
Leading the show is award-winning performer Clive John, widely recognised as one of the most convincing interpreters of Johnny Cash, delivering the spirit of the Man in Black with warmth and authenticity. He is joined by the charismatic Ashley Cavell in the role of June Carter Cash, alongside a world-class band playing period-appropriate instruments: double bass, Fender Telecaster, acoustic guitars, drums, piano and trumpet, complemented by spine-tingling vocal harmonies.
The setlist spans timeless classics such as Walk the Line, Ring of Fire, Jackson, Orange Blossom Special and A Boy Named Sue, as well as darker, more introspective material from the American Recordings era — including Hurt — plus selected songs associated with The Highwaymen supergroup.
