DR Vokalensemblet presents its annual Christmas concert at the beautiful Garnisonskirken in Copenhagen on four dates: 10, 11, 12, and 13 December 2026. The ensemble is led by conductor Phillip Faber, who guides both choir and audience through five centuries of Danish Christmas music.
The programme spans everything from the earliest, delicate Christmas melodies to contemporary choral works, exploring how the sound of the Danish Christmas has evolved over time. Familiar hymns and carols feature prominently, and the audience is invited to sing along at points during the concert.
The intimate church setting of Garnisonskirken provides an atmospheric backdrop, enhancing the reflective and festive nature of the programme. The concerts offer an opportunity to connect with the heart of Danish Christmas tradition through the medium of choral music.
