Marking what would have been David Bowie's 80th birthday, this concert at DR Koncerthuset's Koncertsalen brings together a distinguished group of Danish soloists alongside the backing band BAAL to revisit Bowie's extraordinary musical catalogue.
Soloists for the evening include Steen Jørgensen, Kira Skov, Allan Vegenfeldt, Sebastian Wolff (Kellermensch), Bjørn Fjæstad (Baal), Dicte, Frederik Vedersø (The White Album) and Steffen Westmark (The Blue Van).
The backing band BAAL features Henrik Melander on piano, keyboards and backing vocals; Morten Lundsgaard on guitar; Troels Skjærbæk on bass and backing vocals; and Kenni Andy Jørgensen on drums.
Reuniting a team that previously mounted a short, sold-out tribute tour ten years ago, the concert promises powerful vocals, tight ensemble playing and a heartfelt celebration of a musical icon whose influence continues to resonate across modern music.
