Folketeatret is a theatre in central Copenhagen, Denmark, on Nørregade, close to Nørreport Station. It was founded in 1857, and it has long been one of the city's best-known theatres.
The programme is broad. The theatre stages current plays, classics, drama, comedies and musicals, along with a range of other events. Whatever your taste in the theatre, you are likely to find something on the bill, and the mix means the evening can suit a first-time theatregoer as well as someone who goes often.
