Dance Me is a dance performance by Ballets Jazz Montréal, staged at Théâtre Maisonneuve in Montreal from November 25 to 27, 2026. It is a tribute to the music of Leonard Cohen, with sixteen of his songs forming the soundtrack for the evening.
About the show
Fourteen BJM dancers perform the work, which was built from an original idea by Louis Robitaille. The choreography is by Andonis Foniadakis, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa and Ihsan Rustem, and the stage direction is by Eric Jean. The songs include "Suzanne", "So Long, Marianne", "Famous Blue Raincoat", "Hallelujah" and "Dance Me to the End of Love".
The production has travelled widely, presented in 109 cities across 18 countries. These Montreal dates are its final stop, which gives the run a sense of closing a long journey in the city where the company is based.
Before you go
- The performance uses strobe effects and smoke effects.
- It contains partial nudity.
- Theatre Maisonneuve is the venue, so the evening can be paired with other plans in the city's cultural district.
