Dubwise Meeting #10: Yarra Sound invite King Shiloh is a dub night in Montreal, held at Le Ministère on 12 December 2026. It is the tenth edition of the Dubwise Meeting, hosted by the local Roots & Culture sound system Yarra Sound.
The night
The evening centres on deep roots, heavyweight dub and steppers, played on a vinyl-and-dubplate sound system. Yarra Sound builds its own handcrafted speakers and plays selections strictly on vinyl and dubplates, so the music is heard the way sound system culture intends it: loud, physical and unhurried.
The guest is Dan I of Imperial Sound Army, coming from northern Italy for his first appearance in Canada. Imperial Sound Army has been active since 2002 and has played sessions including University of Dub, Sub Dub, Rototom, International Dub Gathering and Dub Camp, so visitors who follow the European dub circuit will recognise the name.
Who it suits
- Listeners who want to hear dub and roots played on vinyl and dubplate rather than digital files.
- Visitors to Montreal looking for an evening outside the usual club calendar.
- Anyone new to sound system culture who wants a first night in a dedicated room.
The organisers describe the event as a safe, inclusive and respectful space, where harassment, discrimination and hateful behaviour are not tolerated. Le Ministère's event page has the full details and the latest information.
