The Magicians is a night-light show staged on the Triumphal Arch in Montpellier, in the Occitania region of southern France. It is a fantasy 3D light projection built by students of the Objectif 3D school and inspired by the great tales many of us knew as children.

The performance lasts about five minutes, which makes it a short stop rather than a full evening. It is presented on the evenings of 12, 13 and 14 November 2026, so those three nights are the window to plan around.

What to expect

  • A fantasy epic told through 3D light and projection on the monument's façade
  • Imagery drawn from classic childhood stories, presented with a touch of magic
  • A brief, self-contained show, easy to fit into a walk through the city centre

Around the Triumphal Arch

The arch stands on Rue Foch, so the show pairs naturally with a stroll through the city's central streets after dark. Visitors interested in the work of young designers may also appreciate that the show comes from a school, giving a glimpse of creative training at work in the public space.

For practical details on the November programme, the city's Coeur de Ville en Lumières page on montpellier.fr is the place to check before you go.
