Allison Katz: Jeu d'esprit is an exhibition devoted to the work of the artist Allison Katz, presented at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in Montreal, Canada. It is a visit for anyone interested in contemporary painting and in seeing a single artist's practice given room to unfold within a major public museum.
About the exhibition
The show is organised around Katz's work as a whole rather than a single theme or period, so visitors move through a body of work presented in the museum's galleries. The title, Jeu d'esprit, is French for a witty or playful piece of work, a phrase that suggests the lightness and intelligence you can expect to find in the rooms.
